Win $6000 in New Zealand's Next Top Engineering Scientist

Can your students win $6000 in New Zealand's Next Top Engineering Scientist?

This fun and challenging day long competition is for teams of three to four senior students, who have interests in mathematics and science.

The 2016 competition will run near the start of term 3, on Saturday the 6th of August. The problem is revealed at 9am in the morning and students work in their teams to provide a solution by 6pm of that day.  First prize is $6,000 plus there are two runner-up prizes of $2,000.

All teachers who register will get a copy of the answers and helpful notes for themselves before Maths Week.  Please encourage all Teachers in your school to register their students. Here is a week of maths lessons for every level of students, with answers!   Teachers need to register themselves and their students early!  Maths Week has been written for students or schools to use their computing devices. It’s ideal for students to use on tablets and mobile phones.

Maths Week is free for New Zealand schools.  It is part sponsored by The New Zealand Ministry of Education and  The New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers.
